Bending stop with four widths. Turn, don't re-measure.
A bending stop is a magnetic stop that holds on the folding machine and guides the sheet to the set width. The KantFix Quattro holds four widths at once – for the next width you just turn it. The magnet stays where it is.
The bending stop in use
Set the stop. Fold. Turn.
The KantFix Quattro is a magnetic bending stop for the folding machine. Four widths are ready on the stop at the same time. For the next width you just turn it – the magnet stays where it is.
Set the stop
Set the width on the scale, place the stop on the folding machine. The magnet grips with 52 kg – the rubber buffer sits in between, nothing slips.
Push the sheet in, fold
35 cm of contact face and 23 mm stop height guide the sheet. Both hands free, no second person at the stop.
Turn. Next width.
Turn the stop to the next side. The magnet doesn't turn with it – no scratches on the folding machine, and the stop stays exactly where it was.
What's inside
Built for the folding machine, not for the catalogue.
Every detail has a reason from the workshop. We developed the stop because we needed it ourselves.
Holding force per magnet
Magnet with 52 kg holding force. The stop holds even when you push the sheet in with some force.
Scale length per side
35 cm scale and contact face on each of the four sides. Even long edges run cleanly guided.
Stop height
The stop faces are 23 mm high. The sheet sits securely – even on folding machines where a stop can't sit flush against the beam.
Magnet stays put
The stop turns on its own bearing; the magnet stays fixed to the folding machine. No scuff marks, no offset.
Buffer in front of the magnet
Magnets are hard but brittle. The rubber buffer absorbs the impact when you place the stop and keeps it from slipping.
Engineering plastic, printed in Passau
Body made of ASA – an engineering plastic for outdoor use: UV-resistant, impact-resistant, dimensionally stable even in the summer sun. Made in our own 3D printing room in Passau.
Before first use
Cut the measuring tape to size. Once.
Folding machines have no standard beam thickness – 10, 15, 20 mm, every machine is different. That's why the self-adhesive measuring tapes come loose: you cut them once to the beam thickness of your machine and stick them on so the tape starts exactly at the contact edge.
That puts the zero point exactly on the bend line – and every width you read off is right, on your machine. Step-by-step instructions come with every pair.

Same colour, same width.
Each of the four sides carries its own width – no changeover needed. The colour tells you from a distance which side is in use, and whether both stops on the machine are set to the same one. An apprentice gets it on day one.

Drop test
We dropped it. And threw it.
We know the argument against plastic. So we show it instead of claiming it. All on video – uncut, from our workshop.
- Dropped from the folding machine onto the floor – still works.
- Thrown onto the hard workshop floor – still works.
- Hurled across the workshop at full force – still works.
What you get
Four reasons you'll notice at the folding machine.
-
Fold long sheets on your own – faster
Push the sheet in, stop it against the KantFix Quattro. It holds the width and it holds the sheet. You fold instead of balancing and re-measuring all the time.
-
No second pair of hands on long sheets
The magnet holds with 52 kg. The colleague who used to hold the other end is up on the roof.
-
Fold batches without re-measuring
Same sheet again and again? Set the widths once on the four sides. Then turn, push in, fold – part after part, with no folding rule in between.
-
More accurate than a folding rule
Hold up a folding rule, line up the sheet, fold – and the sheet shifts. Against a fixed stop it sits in the same place on every part.
Origin
From our workshop for yours.
Designed, printed and assembled in-house in Passau. The KantFix Quattro was born at our own folding machine because the stops on the market weren't good enough for us. We set up our own 3D printing room for production – every improvement goes straight into the next batch.
Questions
Answered briefly.
What is a bending stop?
A bending stop is a magnetic stop for the folding machine (also called a back gauge stop). It holds the sheet at the set width so you can fold on your own – without a second person and without re-measuring between parts. The KantFix Quattro is a bending stop with four widths set at the same time, 52 kg holding force and a 35 cm scale.
Why is the KantFix Quattro only sold as a pair?
Because you always need two on a folding machine – one left, one right. A single stop would be no use to you. That's why we only sell it as a pair.
Does the magnet hold on every folding machine?
On any steel folding machine. The magnet has 52 kg holding force. No magnet will hold on aluminium or stainless steel stop rails – please check first.
Plastic on a folding machine – does it last?
The body is made of ASA, an engineering plastic otherwise used for exterior parts on cars and buildings: UV-resistant, impact-resistant, dimensionally stable even in heat. How it holds up is shown in the drop test video on this page.
Will the magnet scratch my folding machine?
No. When you turn to the next width, only the stop turns – the magnet stays fixed. The rubber buffer also sits between the magnet and the machine.
Can the magnet break?
Magnets are brittle and can chip if they hit steel hard. That's why the KantFix Quattro has a rubber buffer in front that absorbs the impact.
What are the four colours for?
Each side carries its own width. The colour shows you from a distance which side is in use – and whether both stops on the machine are set to the same side. Black, red, white, grey.
What should I look for in a bending stop?
Holding force in kilograms, scale length, stop height, how many widths are available without a changeover, whether the magnet turns with the stop (scratches) and whether a buffer protects the magnet from impact.
Are spare parts available?
Yes. We print and assemble in-house in Passau – body, stop faces and buffer can all be supplied or replaced individually.
Can I order on invoice?
For businesses, yes. A short enquiry with company name, quantity and delivery address is enough.
