The flat roof trowel – the ideal flat roof tool for torch-welding bitumen membranes at upstands, wall abutments and roof penetrations
With lengths of 33 and 105 cm, the flat roof trowel keeps you at a safe distance from the flame and lets you torch-weld bitumen membranes standing up, without unergonomic bending. The small trowel is also perfect for pressing the bitumen down firmly so the overlapping layers weld tight – the right way to finish wall abutments and other details. That makes the job faster, safer and more professional.
Thanks to the width of the trowel, the overlap area can be pressed down perfectly for a clean weld seam.

Haidl Original – Set
One for the field. One for the connection.
With the long trowel (105 cm) you torch-weld across the field standing up, with the short one (33 cm) you press the upstands down firmly. Two trowels, 1.15 kg – developed on the sites of the Haidl sheet metal roofing business.
Division of labour on the roof
The big trowel covers the distance: long overlap seams, torch-welded standing up. The small one does the rest: wall upstands, upstands, everything you press down with force and feel.
Both blades in stainless steel, plastic caps.
Power at the upstand
With the small trowel (33 cm) and its 8 cm wide blade you press the overlapping layers firmly together – for properly welded wall upstands and details.
Short lever, full control: exactly where the long trowel can't reach.
Across the field, standing up
105 cm of length puts you at a safe distance from the flame – no bending, no knee pads. The 10.5 cm wide blade presses the overlap down in one pass – for an even, clean weld seam.

Both trowels come from the sites of the Haidl sheet metal roofing business – developed and used by our own roofers before they went into the shop.
