TRAUFIX is a mounting aid for installing sheet metal tiles at the eaves.

Every metal roofer or tinsmith knows the problem of expansion gaps when folding without a stable expansion gauge, which often results in the eave fold being too tight, leading to the dreaded capillary action or draw.

This is now a thing of the past: With its sophisticated spacer, TRAUFIX creates a continuous expansion gap for the sheet metal tiles at the eaves. It is practical in combination with an eave closer to fold the eaves edge according to the expansion gap.

When folding the aluminum sheet metal strips, the eaves fold can be done by hand with the TRAUFIX expansion gauge, without any further tools.

Anwendung

Traufix wird am Traufende angelegt und mit der darüberliegenden Blechschare eingeklemmt. Die beidseitigen Langlöcher dienen als Schablone, um den Falz regelmäßig auszuklinken. Nachdem die Blechbahn auf die richtige Länge zugeschnitten wurde, wird diese um das Traufix gekantet.
Dieser Abstand unterbindet die Kapillarwirkung und ermöglicht dem Blech bei Temperaturschwankungen zu arbeiten.

Bei Aluminium kann dies händisch durchgeführt werden. Bei Edelstahl, Kupfer und verzinktem Stahlblech wird ein Traufkanter oder eine gekröpfte Falzzange benötigt.Bei Abschluss kann Traufix weitergerückt und für die nächste Bahn benutzt werden.
