TRAUFIX is placed at the eaves and clamped under the metal panel above it. The slots on both sides act as a template for notching the seam at regular intervals. Once the panel has been cut to length, it is folded around the TRAUFIX.
The gap this creates stops capillary action and lets the metal move with changes in temperature.
With aluminium this can be done by hand. Stainless steel, copper and galvanised steel need an eaves folder or offset seaming pliers. Once the fold is done, move the TRAUFIX along and use it for the next panel.
